It was for a high school anthropology class that I interviewed my paternal  grandmother, Maria Guadalupe Sanchez de Solis, about our family tree. She told me the story of  how being born in Mexico she came to Los Angeles at 16. She told me about her  parents, grandparents, names and dates. Had I appreciated at the time that she was  telling me the story of her life I would have taken more notes.

I started this site as a result of my maternal uncle, Guillermo "Willie" Quinones,  who began compiling our family history. He visited the birthplace of his  grandparents, Batopilas, MX. and wrote us stories of his travels and of our family.  Additional information was provided by my paternal aunt, Zaida Theiss.
